Clinical & Research Director’s Message

“Life is an opportunity, with what can sometimes seem like insurmountable challenges. When faced with overwhelming difficulties, our biggest asset is that of our mind, integrating experiences into realities that can turn adversity into unique possibilities for growth

This is our journey at Psychology Cares and, in many respects, the story of mankind.

It is almost never easy, especially when we seek to recover from factors and experiences not always in our control. Together, and through compassionate care, empirical creativity and scientific exploration, we can face despair, distress and disease to flourish against the odds.

We are unified in more ways than we can entirely understand. Through the trust and the remarkable achievements of our patients, it would appear that clinical skills and scientific knowledge require a dynamic and integrated approach to the art of understanding the mind and the body.

Life may be lived in moments, but clinical care and understanding ourselves cannot be fragmented into dislocated fields of clinical specialisations alone.

It is the pursuit of excellence and integrated care that has given birth to Psychology Cares, because we believe that together, we can matter.”
